Portrait of Aleshka Rodriguez, birth and postpartum doula

Meet your doula

Greetings! My name is Aleshka. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I am the mother of two beautiful girls. With them I lived two very different births. In the first, my autonomy was not respected: they induced me without my consent. In the second, my baby chose when to be born.

That experience inspired me to help, educate and inform other expectant mothers about their bodies, their birth and their rights. That is why I am here for you.

Right now I am studying for a master's degree in midwifery. In the meantime, I support you as a doula, in Spanish or in English, at home, at the birth center and at the hospital.

Frequently asked questions
A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.
